Maro Vandorou, founder of Atelier Vandorou, is a visual artist and writer whose work takes the form of artist's books rooted in ancient Hellenic rites, myth, and the archetypes of transformation. She works in rare handmade papers, letterpress and screen printing, and calligraphy, materials and processes chosen to enact her concepts rather than illustrate them. Earlier work in platinum and palladium photographic installation continues to inform her practice.
